THE BEST MOVIE CAR CHASE – BULLITT 1968
Probably the best and the most realistic movie chase. Steve McQueen as Frank Bullitt. Ford Mustang GT vs Dodge Charger 440 R/T.

I got to say thoughs cars were sweet, fast, unstable,fun, deathtraps! =D
But o so did I forget to mention fun? =D
count how many hub caps fall off the charger.
@Love4SK I 100% agree with that!
just sit and listen to the roar of the engines and the squeals of the tires
Bullitt is just a slow, dated and boring old film with the former rent boy McQueen.
*yawn* dukes of hazzard got a better car chase scene, this ain’t got the action what i wanted
gotta love that music !
my number 2 car chase here, my fave will always be gone in 60 seconds 38 minute epic chase
Lalo Schifrin – musical genius!
@McLarenMercedes
well you’d have to be crazy to think this sounds better than new scores. People will remember transformers in 10-20. the series made over 1 billion dollars worldwide. What did this make? nowhere near that. Things that are this popular don’t just get forgotten. Things like Bullit would be forgotten in a second because hey just get stuck in the category of lame old movies.
Jablonsky and Hans Zimmer generic crap? And you say I don’t know what I’m talking about? Zimmer is a legend
you have heard absolutely nothing if you think some nobody that scored Transformers is some name to be compared with the all time greats like Lalo Schifrin and others who won Oscars for their scores
nobody will remember Transformers in 10-20 years. Bullit is remembered over 40 years later and still has fans.
Why do I get a feeling you don’t have a clue what the heck you are talking about.
Scores are meant to stand alone, whereas you seem to think bombastic generic crap is good scores.
having a bigger engine doesn’t mean it will corner better or brake better
in a dragrace those things don’t matter, but on city streets like those in San Francisco these thing become very important
actually it was the other way round
the Mustang needed suspension repairs between the takes
look at the Top Gear test of the Charger and hear for yourself
and that’s why they died out, because they were the best…
a 60’s Lotus could outrun any musclecar on those San Francisco streets, musclecars were good for straightline drags nothing else
Mad Max 2- Road Runner put the viewer in the centre of the chase, and beats this hands down
60’s musclecars weren’t exactly known to handle well, not even the comtemporary reviews in the 60’s believed so
Mahoton!
Man, all it would have taken was a well placed PIT maneuver on the freeway to end that.
The old cars had the power. My late father had a cutlass with a 426 inch engine and it was just the family car. It could take off like these two, and gas was only 25, 30 cents back in the middle 1960s.
DRIVER
american muscle car are the best way better than hot wheel lik honda nissan toyota way better than german cars
The charger was just getting rid of all its dead weight so it can show its true power
having no dialogue makes this scene so intense.
5 *
The passenger looked like he was about to have a nervous breakdown!
