WTF is up with that muffler, I wouldn’t want to be seen in broad daylight at a drag racing track with a car that has a flimsy rattle

Quite alot of comments on the lack of additional power for this special edition. Quite easy to understand. But Porsche isn’t stupid. They will never make a Boxster faster than their flagship 911. If you look at pricing / bhp between Boxster, Cayman and 911, it just looks like a linear step-change?
This is last years (2008) car. The 2009’s will have the completely new motor with the new oil scavenging pumps, and without the IMS. Plus, the optional PDK transmission.
Anyone who thiks that sports cars is only about HP, buy yourself a Mustang and be happy.
Porsche should of put in the new carrera s engine that has 380 hp into the boxster rs 60 spyder. Then it would really make it special edition. The exhaust doesn’t really do much.
they shoulda made sure with that limited slip that the muffler didnt break off first
thats such a cheap fit and finish for a friggin 100k+ porsche
If you spec out the Boxster S with the options this one comes with, it costs a LOT more than what they are charging for the special edition rs60. The GT paint is a $3k option alone.

i was thinking that 70K was too much until i saw that limited edition plaque. i’ll keep saving my pennies
sweet car but i like almost everyone else who left a comment noticed the exhaust pipe shake like crazy wen he took off.
the pipes or somthing must crash with the axle…. or it isnt fastened at all
