It just depends upon how you drive it. I know of one person who has driven 300,000 miles on the same engine.

You can count on it for long time body is galvanised so rust will be much less of a problem.Engines are good for 200000 miles plus provided they are service well always use fully synthetic oil cam belt changes at 50000 miles .Own and work on them in the UK best regards Mick

I think they are good cars. They have some electrical problems but none of the important ones. Just like the radio wont work or windows wont go up and down, etc. But it never left my buddy stranded.I say go for it.

If you change the timing-belt and waterpump etc every 80K than 200 no problem. But they have a lot of nit picky problems as well. It also depends on the car A4,A6,A8 and the engine you choose. Go to audiforums.com and read some ask some but do your homework first.

All in all if you DYI you will be fine If not get a CPO with a warranty.

One thing is for sure if you drive it you will buy it. They have a way of pulling you in.
