Volswagen Owners! What is the most economical way to keep up with scheduled maintenance?

I have a 2004 Passat and have kept up to date with the scheduled maintenance by going thru VW dealers. I felt confort in knowing the mechanics were endeed experts in VW’s. That has become VERY expensive. Is there another way to maintain my car with quality maintenance? Any experiences would help, Thank you in advance.

What is the most expensive car in the world you might ask – the answer is a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa which was sold at an RM’s auction for the breathtaking sum of 12, 2 million dollars last year. This TR is one of only 22 pontoon-fendered sports racers that were manufactured in 1957 and 1958, but the car’s incredible racing history puts it far beyond others. With breathtaking looks, fantastic performance and handling, this is a true connoisseur’s Ferrari. However, this car and many others alike will not be included in the following list because these are not available on the market in 2010. With this article we will offer a small review of 5 of the most expensive cars available for purchase.

Bugatti Veyron – holds the number one spot with 1,700,000 million dollars and is by far the most expensive street legal car available in the world in the present. It is also the fastest accelerating car in the world, capable of reaching 60 MPH in only 2, 6 seconds. It also claims to be the fastest car with a top speed of 253+ MPH but this title belongs to SSC Ultimate Aero which exceeded 253 mph in a recent run.

Lamborghini Reventon – right behind the Veyron with 1,600,000 million dollars and an incredible futuristic look, loved by many, hated by others. This is the most powerful and expensive Lamborghini model ever manufactured. It is capable of reaching 60 MPH in just 3,3 seconds and has a top speed of 211 MPH. This model will be built in a limited edition of only 20 cars, another reason for this incredible price.

McLaren F1 – ends the top 3 with 970,000 dollars and even though it was launched in 1994, it still outperforms a lot of more recent supercars. When it was launched, it was the most expensive car in the world. Top speed is 240 MPH and 0-60 is done in 3, 2 seconds, incredible when we take into consideration that the car is 16 years old.

Ferrari Enzo – this is by far the most popular supercar ever built and occupies number 4 in our top with 670,000 dollars. Only 400 of these cars were produced and one of them was auctioned for over 1,000,000 dollars. It is capable of reaching 60 MPH in 3, 4 seconds and has a top speed of 217 MPH.

Pagani Zonda C12 F – Pagani, a small independent company in Italy (where else?), has a whopping price of 667,321 dollars, pretty impressive for a company founded just a few years ago. The C12 F Zonda is the 5th fastest car in the world, capable of reaching a speed of over 215 MPH and it only needs 3, 5 seconds to reach 60 MPH.

It is quite hard to imagine someone would actually spend millions of dollars on a car instead of using it for something more productive. However, if you have the money and the opportunity, you will definitely spend a small fraction of it to place a few of these supercars in your garage.
