Is it a smart idea to face the sub toward the car if it is placed between seats?

Im replacing the back seats with bucket seats and im goin to put in a sub box inbetween with the sub facing the car. Is this a smart idea, to put the front of the sub facing the inside of the car and the where the air pushes into the car instead of the trunk. Does anyone know, when were lines first placed on the Ford Mustang GT and what are the classic design of the lines? See my husband and I are ina controversy. We have a Mustang GT 2006. He wishes to place the 2 wide lines on the car, because he says that this is the classical design for a Mustang GT.
